FAQ
What is your training approach?
-
A comprehensive initial assessment (60 min) is performed to identify strengths and areas for improvement based on your fitness, performance or medical goals. You usually leave the first session with a few exercises to get you started.
-
I create a personalized exercise program for you based on your assessment results and goals.
-
We meet for a few follow-up sessions (typically between 1 to 3) to review how to perform the exercise program effectively and safely.
-
You are welcome to work with me on a more regular basis to review form, maintain motivation / accountability, and progress the program based on your performance. Alternatively we can also do a "check-up" model where you meet with me periodically (usually every 3 to 6 weeks) where we can review your program and update it based on your progress.

What is your nutrition approach?
-
Put simply, I fit the plan to a person, not a person to the plan.
-
You will first fill out a nutrition intake form and three day food record so I can get sense of your preferences, schedule, habits, etc.
-
From there we meet for a comprehensive initial nutrition consult (60 min) and use the information in your intake forms to take a deep dive into your eating habits, lifestyle and preferences to create the outline of a nutrition action plan to help you reach your nutrition-related fitness, performance or health-related goals. *Note: For some athletes we may instead focus on creating fueling and recovery plans for race-day; or for before, during and after practices, games or tournaments.
-
I then take the conversation points and ideas generated by the initial consult and craft it into a personalized nutrition action plan, including actionable insights and resources. Example meals and snacks may be included.
-
You can review the plan and ask me any questions you may have about getting started; I can also relay the plan to preferred medical or fitness providers.
-
We then schedule a follow-up session (typically between 2 to 4 weeks after the initial consult) to review progress, problem solve any barriers and update the action plan accordingly.
-
You are welcome to work with me on a regular basis to provide more real-time feedback and/or motivation/accountability. Alternatively we can also do a "check-up" model where you meet with me periodically (usually every 3 to 6 weeks) where we can review your program and update it based on your progress.

Can I combine training and nutrition services?
It depends. If you want to get an exercise program and nutrition action plan then you will need to do both initial assessments (training and nutrition). Once you complete the initial assessments and receive your personalized programs, I am happy to include nutrition discussions into regularly scheduled training sessions or vice versa.

How do I start working with you?
-
All new clients must sign up for a Nutrition or Training "Kickstart" that includes 2 sessions (initial consult + 1 follow up) and a personalized program.
-
If you are ready to start working with me you can fill out the intake forms above for your preferred service and contact me to arrange your initial assessment time.
-
You are also welcome to contact me to schedule a complimentary 15 minute Discovery Call to determine how I can best be of service to you.
